The grading of smart wines is classified by variety level, collection group leader family collection level, and supreme limited level. This is determined according to each winery's own situation, and it is difficult to make horizontal comparisons. The classification of Chilean wine is simple and intuitive, divided into five levels from low to high:

Varietal level (Varietal), this level only lists the name of the grapes, belongs to the most basic wine, is the entry level, the price is generally not expensive, very suitable for wine selection for beginners.

Reserva (Reserva), this level of wine is usually stored in oak barrels, usually better than varietal level. The vast majority of Chilean wines are very good and high-quality wines, which are very cost-effective wines.

Gran Reserva, the difference between this level of wine and Reserve wine is that it uses more and newer oak barrels and has a longer storage time. The quality will naturally be better and it will have better aging power.

Reserva de Familia (Reserva de Familia) basically represents the best wine in a certain winery. Some wineries have very little wine production, and all of them are wines of this level.

Premium, which is a limited number of wines, is better than family reserve grades. The wine grapes used in it must meet the corresponding standards. Usually, the wines of this series need to be stored in new French oak barrels for more than 18 months, some even store up to 22 months.
