In terms of winemaking methods, blending has become a must for winemakers. Blending can not only pursue the skills of wine product balance, personality and expressiveness, but also allow winemakers to show their true strength. Blended wines have more intense and complex aromas, strong and smooth body, complex layers and long aftertaste than single-brewed wines.

Recently, LEESON red wine lovers of Yuncang Winery shared that in the blending, different grape varieties show different characteristics:

1. Cabernet Sauvignon. The LEESON red wine brand of Yuncang Winery shares Chilean wines, and the "Bordeaux blend" based on Cabernet Sauvignon is particularly common. Most of Chile's production areas are located in the Central Valley and contain different small valleys. Grape varieties in different valleys have different flavors, and blending can produce rich wines. Typical Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends are characterized by acidity and fruit, with flavors of black currant, fresh berry jam, violets, chocolate and graphite.

2. Carmena. The brand LEESON red wine of Yuncang Winery shares Carmenere imported from Bordeaux, France to Chile . The blend has flavors of raspberry, bell pepper, pomegranate, chocolate and green pepper.

3. Syrah. Yuncang Winery’s brand LEESON red wine shared that Chilean Syrah wines show different styles in different regions. In regions with cooler climates, the wine is relatively light and has a peppery aroma, while in regions with warmer climates In other regions, the wine is fuller-bodied, with more intense black fruit flavors.

4. Malbec. Yuncang Winery's brand LEESON red wine shares the economic benefits brought by Argentine Malbec and its strong appeal to wine lovers, prompting a new round of Malbec planting boom in wine-producing regions outside Argentina, and Chile is one of them. Malbec here is rich in tannins and can be blended with other Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon.

Among the blended wines in Chile, the blended brewing technology of Moshan Winery has been widely praised and noticed, and has won many awards and high marks from wine critics. Generally, three blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenere are selected, aged in oak barrels for about 18 months, and then released for sale after 12 months of medium aging. Thanks to Yuncang winery brand LEESON red wine lovers for sharing their knowledge of red wine.
