Application for Student’s Pass
If you wish to study full-time in Singapore, you will require a Student’s Pass. You are advised to liaise directly with your school/ education institution of interest.
All Student’s Pass applications are to be submitted to ICA online through https://www.ica.gov.sg/reside/STP/apply. Your school/ institution will provide you with a Registration Acknowledgement Letter containing a Student’s Pass application number, for you to complete your Student’s Pass application online.

Here’s what you need to know:
The following documents are required for student pass application:
- A copy of eForm 16 and eForm V36 completed and signed
- A copy of applicant’s official birth certificate

Additional documents
Additional documents below are required if you are coming from a visa-required country. Please check ICA website to check if you need an entry visa to Singapore.
- A copy of bank statement/fixed deposit account(s)/ savings account(s)
- Employment letter for both parents and/or applicant (if applicable)

Upon receiving the completed document, JCU will apply for your student pass with Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Singapore. The general processing time for a new application is 2 to 4 weeks. Some applications may take a longer time to process.
Note: Student pass holders are not to be engaged in any form of employment or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore whether paid or unpaid, without a valid work pass issued by Ministry of Manpower. Student pass holders are expected to have a minimum attendance rate of 90%.
You will receive a copy of an In-Principle Approval Letter (IPA) issued by ICA once your student pass application is approved. The IPA serves as an entry visa to Singapore if you are from visa-required country.
